The Light-Duty Aerolock provides
an excellent seal in low pressure or low vacuum service. Pressure differential
across the Aerolock is limited to a maximum of 3 PSI, allowing the flexible
tip rotor to keep air loss to an absolute minimum. It is ideally suited
to continuous discharge from cyclone or filter type dust collectors where
a head of material does not build up on top of the Aerolock inlet.
The Light-Duty Aerolock is often a choice for dust collection applications.
Features:
- Housing and end plates
The housing and end plates are machined from castings and are made of
wear iron, chrome-plated wear iron, or stainless steel and are available
with either a round or square flange.
- Bearings
Both ends of the shaft are supported by pre-lubricated, permanently
sealed, radial ball bearings mounted in outboard configuration.
- Seals
Double lip-style seals in each end plate prevent material leakage. T-3
seals are also available. The bearing area is outboard and vented.
- Rotors
Flexible tips eliminate tolerance adjustments, and the rotors are easily
replaced as they wear. They are ideal for use with fine powders and
dusts commonly associated with cyclone.
