Designed for use as an on-machine blender or for central station blending, the ProBlend precisely meters and mixes materials at various blend ratios. Utilizing a compact hopper with an adjustable speed impeller, the ProBlend’s continuous mixing action consistently delivers a homogeneous blend. Positions are provided for up to four high-precision ProRate Feeders that can simultaneously meter additives or colorants into the blending hopper. ProRates can be added or removed to accommodate your future application requirements. This modular concept is the cornerstone of the ProBlend’s versatility.

Modular flexibility
The ProBlend’s modular design allows for many options in your future requirements. If you begin blending two ingredients and wish to add a third and fourth, simply bolt on additional ProRates. This design flexibility also allows a ProRate Feeder to be removed from the blender and used as an individual feeder mounted on the throat of a molding machine or extruder.

Quick material changeover
Easy access to all ProBlend components permits quick cleaning between material or product changeovers. Quick release clamps allow the mixing hopper, impeller and sight glass to be removed for cleaning without tools. The optional “quick-clean” hopper door with quick release latches enables the mixing chamber and impeller to be cleaned without being removed from the ProBlend. For operator safety, a switch disengages the mixing motor when the clean-out door is opened.

Level sensing indicator
A capacitance level indicator to sense the level of material in the blending hopper is included with the ProBlend. When the blending hopper reaches capacity, the level indicator will automatically cause the ProRate Feeders to shut off until the material level recedes.

Central station blending
As a central station blender, the ProBlend can supply the material requirements for several processing machines. Equipped with an optional floor stand and caster wheels, it can be easily moved from one location to another within your plant. For vacuum conveying the finished blend, an optional probe box can be mounted to the base of the floor stand.
