The ProRate II is equipped with larger augers and hopper capacities to deliver the larger feed rates required for some applications. It can be mounted directly to the molding machine, extruder or to one of Premier’s line of mixers. Each ProRate II features a precision-machined, stainless steel housing and auger to maintain exacting tolerances for high accuracy feeding. To tailor the feeder to your specific material and feed rate, different auger styles can be incorporated. In addition, the ProRate II utilizes the field-proven motor and microprocessorbased controls of the ProRate.

Modular Pedestal A 6-inch square pedestal handles up to two ProRate II high capacity feeders and two standard ProRates simultaneously. Unused ports are fitted with Lexan sight glasses to allow feeders to be easily added or removed. To evenly distribute the larger throughputs of the ProRate lls into the material stream, deflector shields are positioned in the pedestal.

Rate varying augers The versatility of the ProRate II Feeder is enhanced by a selection of auger styles. Each auger is constructed of 304 stainless steel. Utilizing different auger styles, the feed can be varied to meet your specific application and material requirements.

Gravity Mixer The gravity tube mixer can be utilized to mix materials without the need for additional moving parts. Layered horizontal bars inside the tube serve as baffles to agitate the material as it cascades through. Up to two ProRate II high capacity feeders and two ProRate Feeders can be used to meter material into the gravity tube mixer.

Choice of hoppers Each ProRate II Feeder is available with your choice of hoppers. The side-mount hopper accommodates a major ingredient hopper on the pedestal. For applications where no material is being fed by gravity, a center-mount hopper is available. For visual inspection of material and easy hopper clean-out, each hopper is equipped with sight glasses and a quick drain port.

Stainless steel housing Each ProRate II Feeder is constructed with a precision machined, 304 stainless steel housing to ensure that sensitive materials are handled accurately.

Easy calibration For easy, precise calibration, each ProRate II pedestal contains sample ports conveniently located directly below the ProRate II Feeder positions. A material discharge chute is used to take material samples. This enables the operator to obtain accurate, reliable calibration.

Quick material change The ProRate lI’s quick release band clamp permits the motor, bearing housing and auger assembly to be easily removed for material changes. Sliding the motor/auger assembly away from the housing also exposes the inside of the housing for quick, easy cleaning.
