2424 Powder Vacuum Receiver

The Series³ 2424 vacuum receiver provides a high capacity sequencing system designed to handle powder, pellet, regrind and granular materials. Recommended uses are for railcar unloading, silo-to-daybin transfer or in-plant transfer applications up to 6,800 kg/hr [15,000 lbs/hr].  

Design

The 2424 receiver is available in either carbon steel (painted) or stainless steel construction. Each receiver has a stainless steel check valve to allow multiple receivers to draw material from a common conveying line. The 2424 pellet receiver features a perforated screen fi lter section and the 2424 powder receiver utilizes a cartridge filter.

Central system units for the 2424 receivers utilize a common vacuum blower package, and are primarily used on multiple-destination applications where larger conveying rates or long distances are required.

Based on a distance of 15 m [50 ft] and bulk density of 0.5 kg/dm3 [31 lb/ft3].

Rates vary with material characteristics, conveying distance and plant layout.

Pellet Receiver:  Up to 6,800 kg/hr [15,000 lb/hr]
Powder Receiver: Up to 3,175 kg/hr [7,000 lb/hr]>

Controls

The receiver is available with controls suitable for use with either a solid state microprocessor controller or a programmable logic controller. Both control systems utilize 24 VDC low voltage and are available with installation kits making installation easy and more economical. The receiver controls include color coded quick connectors and provide communication to the central controller.

• PLC I/O module receiver controls, for use with a programmable logic controller, provide all communication parameters to the central controller for operation. An optional receiver on/off selector is available for maintenance ease.

• MPC solid state receiver controls, for use with a microprocessor controller, provide many commands to the central controller for operation. Receiver located functions include the number of cartridge pulses, pulse rate and receiver on/off selection.

Construction Features

• Available with carbon steel construction with epoxy coated interior and painted enamel on the exterior or with 304 stainless steel material contact.
• The 2424 powder receiver has a large filter cartridge with either 50 or 100 square feet of spunbond polyester media. It is automatically cleaned with bursts of compressed air.
• 60° hopper with 10-inch gravity discharge gate with white Neoprene seal.
• Band clamps for quick body section separation.
• 4-inch tangential inlet with stainless steel check valve.
• 4-inch air control valve.
• 22-inch diameter housing.
